The best way to experience the landscape and cultural heritage is from the seat of a bike. The Hamar region is perfect for great cycling experiences. It’s up to you what kind of fantastic scenery you would like to cycle through.

Here are a few tips:

The mountainous areas and summer pasture farm landscape of Sjusjøen, Hedmarksvidda mountain plateau and idyllic Åstdalen valley where there are many lovely spots for picnics and fishing.

There are great opportunities along quiet roads to spend the night in style, enjoy the quiet country life and the local food culture with lake Mjøsa dominating the landscape.

Bring a picnic basket and find your own little oasis in this unique cultural landscape. During the season, you can buy farm produce at many of the farms.
