What made Løten known world wide, was the golden liquid of Løitens, the so called "water of life".

Løten was Edvard Munch's birthplace (1863) and inspiration to many of his paintings. The light, the life, the landscape, is depicted in many Munch pieces and it is also what makes Løten so special.
